How to ring an item that's not showing up in Shopify but listed in Aravenda or vice versa

There are instances where an item is listed in Aravenda but is not showing up in Shopify (or vice versa) at the time of sale or check out which may happen for multiple reasons such as when the item is flagged on Aravenda as live for "Online only" and not for "POS".

To reconcile your inventory on both sides, you can make a "custom sale" by adding a custom item in the Shopify order page and then manually mark the item as sold on Aravenda.

Step 1: To create an order in Shopify, you need to go to the "Orders" section in your Shopify admin and then click on "Create order" > click "Add custom item" to open the product information page.

You can then add item name, price, quantity and other details (apply discounts, adjust taxes, add tags), and choose how to collect payment. After completing all product information, click "add item" and complete the sale.

Step 2: Manually mark the item as sold on Aravenda. Before you do this, make sure that the item information listed the exact price it was sold for during check out to avoid payout calculation issues. Read: How to manually mark an item as sold

> If the item was already sold through alternative payment channels like Square, you still need to manually mark the item as sold in Aravenda to update your inventory.

Alternative scenario:

> In the rare instance that the item was not in Aravenda and you want to record a consignor sale, you could create a store credit for the amount expected to payout to the consignor with a specific note of the item sold.

Important note: If it is a consignor owned item and you marked it sold with the proper sale amount but payouts don’t calculate as expected, please log a ticket with your store name, consignor name and item number and we will assist with that.
