Item Entry Process

Item entry in Aravenda is now made easier with our single page entry form, you can now enter items into your store at an even faster rate

  1. Select the Incoming Inventory tab
  2. From here, click the Actions button and select Receive Items
    1. If you want to create a new batch of items, you can hit Create New Batch and fill out the necessary information for the new batches label

  3. You will then be displayed with all of the items within your batch, to enter a new item, press the Add button with the plus sign next to any item where it says Unreceived Item

  4. Fill out all the necessary information for the Details tab of the item
    1. Title: The title of the item [Talbots Size 10 Red Silk Dress] - We usually have people title their items by “Brand-Size-Color-Material-Item” for the price compare feature and for Search Engine Optimization reasons so your items can be found on other search engines, however, you're more than free to title your items however you like!
    2. Description: Description of the item you're entering, you can get as creative or minimal as you want and this will let your customers know a little bit more about the product you are listing 
    3. Price: The price what you want your item to be
    4. Cost: How much you purchased the item for
    5. Brand: The brand of the item
    6. Select Category: Select the category of the item
    7. Weight: How much the item weighs
  1. Once all of these fields have been entered, you will be prompted to enter all of the Attributes and Measurements associated with the items category. 

  2. The window below, you can upload all of your images from your computer by clicking the Capture Photo or Upload Images link. Choose the corresponding photos you would like to upload and they will then show up for your items. If you are on mobile, you can take pictures right off your phone by pressing the Capture Image button or you can take photos directly off of your library. Just be sure to keep them under the 20 MB limit

  3. You can now hit the Add Variants button and fill out the necessary information about the specific variant of the item, once done, hit the plus button at the right side of the field
    1. Condition: Specifies the condition of the item ranging from Used, New without Tags, and New with Tags
    2. Size: The size of the item
    3. Color: The color of the item
    4. Quantity: How many of this instance of item you have

  4. Now select which sales channels you want your item to be featured on, you have the option between Online Store or Point of Sale

  5. Once finished with everything on the item, you can then press either the Save for Later button or the Create Item button
    1. Save for Later: Will not publish the item directly to Aravenda and will not push to Shopify. The item will be saved and you can then exit this item and come back to it later when you are ready for it to be published to Aravenda and Shopify and make necessary edits if needed
    2. Create Item: Publishes the item to the Aravenda batch and then pushes it to your Shopify site

  6. You can then repeat all of these steps to complete all of the items within your batch!

Editing Items

If you ever need to change anything for any of your items for any reason, the edit items function is designed to make any corrections when necessary.
  1. Select the Items tab

  2. Search for the item that you would like to edit by either scrolling down to where it is, or by typing in the name of the item in the search bar

  3. Select Actions and then hit the Edit button right below

  4. From here, you can edit any part of the item that you wish. For example if you want to change the price of an item from $40 to $35, you can do that by entering $35 in the price field.

  5. Once you've finished editing your item, hit the Update Item button at the bottom right of the window and your items updates will be reflected in Aravenda and Shopify immediately
