Incoming Inventory - Receiving Items/ Item Entry

Next, you need to enter the details for each item in your inventory.

At the top, you will see a toggle switch under Sellable Item. This is for items that you receive that might not be sellable due to the condition it’s in. For example, if a shirt has a missing button.

To enter an item that is not ready to be sold into your inventory,

1. Click the toggle switch under Sellable Item - a popup will appear.
2. Enter the Item Title.
3. Enter the Reason it is not sellable.
4. Click Save.

Item Details
Be descriptive. People are more likely to buy items with great descriptions.

1. Title the title of the item – the more descriptive the better (include the brand, fabric, size, and what it is).
*Be careful not to confuse your customer. If you put a size or color here and then put something that contrasts the information in the title, your customer will not know what they are buying or will likely get upset if the item they receive is different from what they expected.

2. Price Compare – The Price compare button enables you to see the high, low, and average price the item is selling for across different sales channels.
Tip! To get the most accurate price, enter as much detail as possible.
i.e. Brand – Size – Color – Material – Item Type (Talbots Size 10 Black Silk Dress)

*The more descriptive you are in the title, the more accurate the price.

3. Description - Provide a detailed description of the item that promotes it well, captures the imagination of the prospective buyer, includes any search terms that Google might look for, and convinces someone to buy it. You can add additional details about the item within this field.

4. Brand – Helps SEO – great for cross-posting and other sites require this to be listed separately.

5. Pricing
Price – How much are you selling the item for?
Cost – Only add this when you buy something bought outright – if you bought it, how much did it cost you?
